About this quote

What does it mean?
The struggle cannot be reversed because it is rooted in deep internal change of thought and feeling. This internal shift is the true engine of victory.
In plain terms
We are winning because we have changed how we think and feel, and there is no going back.
What can you take from it?
Sustainable change requires shifting mindsets and emotions, not just tactics.

Where it applies

  • social movements
  • personal growth
  • community organizing

Putting it to work

  • focus on changing narratives
  • address emotional roots of issues
  • build internal resolve

Questions to consider

  • What changes in our minds are necessary for progress?
  • How do we measure a revolution of the heart?

Another view

Internal change alone may not address structural barriers.
