I am not happy with all the analysis that go with just classical theory, because nature is not classic, dammit, and if you want to make a simulation of nature you'd better make it quantum mechanical and by golly it is a wonderful problem.
About this quote
- What does it mean?
- Classical physics is insufficient for simulating nature because the universe is fundamentally quantum. Embracing this makes for a fascinating challenge.
- In plain terms
- Nature is quantum, not classical, so simulations must be too.
- What can you take from it?
- Accept quantum mechanics to accurately model reality.
Where it applies
Putting it to work
Questions to consider
- How do you model reality?
- Why is quantum hard?
Another view
Classical approximations often work well enough for everyday purposes.
